summer 2011

i can't believe that summer is over and another semester is about to begin.  i went to school all summer so i had to squeeze everything fun i wanted to do into a two week break.  i went to california and had one of the best days of my life.

This one day consisted of us going to the San Diego Temple in the morning, laying on the beach for the afternoon and finishing the night off with a soccer game on the shore and a jam sesh. i couldn't have asked for anything better.

but now i have to start school again and i'm wishing i had another week off.  but the only thing i can do is to jump in with both feet and a good attitude.  i plan on making this semester life changing. this is the fall when i don't go out searching for happiness but i am just happy. this is the time when i don't find my confidence by looking in the mirror or counting the texts in my phone but by the love i feel from my heavenly father.  this is the semester that i'll look back on and the feeling that comes is complete joy.

red lipstick

something that automatically makes me feel older and more mature than i really am is putting on bright red lipstick.  it makes me want to put on long white gloves and walk around town in high heels.  i'm not brave enough to wear it out in public yet so for right now i'm content with wearing it around my house while my family all take second looks at me and ask where i'm going.
as of late i'm been loving vintage things.  lace, black and white pictures, old type writers, red lip stick blah blah blah. whenever i think of old fashioned things i think of the word classy.  i've decided that this is my new moto for life.  i want to be a classy girl.  classy girls have so much confidence. don't care what people think, and can wear red lip stick and rock it.
classy, here i come!

completely obsessed...

i have a very big problem.  ever since the fifth of november, 2010, i only have one thing on my mind.

THE ROCKET SUMMER/HE IS WE

all i have been doing lately is stalk these bands. i've learned a handful of their songs on the piano and you will find their songs on the recently played list on both my pods.  i'm almost to the point of learning their birthday's and their favorite colors.  someone stop me. or at least give me something else to do with my time.

catch up!

remember the time when you were in college, sitting in classes that did not interest you at all, and the thought of what you were going to do for the rest of your life haunted you? me too. but no more! i finally have a plan and i'm loving the feeling that comes along with it.  i have tried out every major there possibly is (well not really but it feels like it) and i have finally narrowed it down to one......drum roll please....dental hygiene! i am so thrilled to clean people's teeth day in and day out for the rest of my life. it makes me excited to grow up, which is something that i have never felt before :) so the plan is to finish up the pre-reqs up at good ol' JW (aka just weber) and then i'll be heading back down to happy valley to go to the utah college of dental hygiene in orem! it will be very challenging but so worth it in the end.
i'm looking forward to the future!

may 8, 2010

oh. my. goodness.
i think i just had the most fun night of my life. ryan watt, my friend from rexburg, and i went to the JAZZ GAME tonight! and did i mention that it was on the 27 row! holy cow it was amazing! the game was so intense and even though we lost by one stinking point it was so worth going to! then after the game we went to tucano's and had all the meat we could think of eating which included me eating a chicken heart. remind me to never do that again.....but all in all, top five in my best night list!

i think i'm gonna like it here

so the move from happy valley to the frozen tundra has been a hard move, but the right one. i only knew one of my roommates, the cute Alli Richins, but the other 5 girls are so much fun! Idaho is a super slow place, like literally, everything is slow....the cars, the classes, weekends, the boys, the whole atmosphere of BYU-Idaho is nothing like Orem when you have to be doing something 24/7. But i'm starting to absolutely love it!
